The recycling program ships all the donated electronics to MaxBack facilities, which is an electronic recycling firm. Recycling of these items takes place for free and MaxBack pays for any item that still works. The item can be sent using the free mail-back envelopes provided by the Postal Service of the United States at any of the locations where the program is offered. By doing so, the firm is ensuring that none of the e-waste goes to landfills.
