These sunglasses will have polarized mutating lenses and their frames will be handcrafted from beautiful bamboo pieces. The designers have decided to use bamboo for their product as it is the fastest growing plant, and despite being extremely light in weight, it’s extremely durable and strong.

The collaboration between Taylor Jensen and KURTIS USA

KURTIS USA is a California based company that manufactures fashionable eye wear as well as surfing goggles. The company is owned by a former surfer, Kurtis Shipcott, and it manufactures products for men as well as women surfers. The company was launched in the market in 2007 and has been producing high quality eye wear since then. Kurtis handcrafts the designs of his company and after his eye surgery, he has been concentrating on this firm. Jensen on the other hand, is one of the most amazing long boarders of all times. He is also a world surfing champion. Both these individuals are extremely talented in their art and have decided to collaborate on this project to encourage eco friendly promotional items.

Bamboo sunglasses: Unique eco friendly promotional items

This product is named, “Taylor Jensen – World Champion Bamboo Sunglasses,” and the designers wittily state that it comes with a 10 trees warranty. Taylor Jensen claims that the design of the sunglasses is such that they can be worn casually at a beach or even in a formal event. He feels that it is a great style statement, and through such products, people will develop a fascination for eco friendly promotional items.

To popularize the product among the youth, both the designers decided to use mutating lenses. Kurtis feels that this will attract more youngsters as they prefer buying sunglasses with this feature. On the other hand, Taylor Jensen stated that Kurtis and he narrowed down on using bamboo as it is an organic product that is sustainable and regenerates very fast. The designers feel that since bamboo is a consumer of carbon-dioxide, it should be used as much as possible to try and reduce global warming. So, they decided to merge organic materials with technology.

During the launch, the designers stated that scientists consider Central America as a very essential resource of planet Earth, so they will donate their earnings from these sunglasses to protect the region. They will fund plantation of trees in the forest and will also help in its maintenance.
